Type Locality and Naming
Type section is Near Hangrang village in Kinnaur, good sections in near Pin-Spiti confluence and in lower reaches of Ratang nala. [Original Publication: Bhargava, O.N. 1987. Synonyms: Coral beds (Hayden, 1904); lower-middle Nimoloksa Gr. It equals the classic Coral Limestone.

Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lower contact with the Rangrik Fm is rather sharp.
Upper contact
Gradational contact with the overlying Alarore Fm is conformable.
Regional extent
Zanskar-Spiti and Himachal Pradesh to Kumaun-Garhwal region of Northwest Tethyan Himalaya
